San Beda Mountaineering Society (SBMS) presents… KARERA BEDISTA ADVENTURE RACE 2009: Experience the Great Bedan Adventure JANUARY 24, 2009 | FROLICS | SAN BEDA COLLEGE RATIONALE: Karera Bedista is a city-based, multi-disciplinary race that will have Bedans running and scrambling through series of challenges. This race is a one of a kind experience inculcating challenges and tasks that will bring an overwhelming camaraderie among the participants. The Karera Bedista is not just a competition; it is also the celebration of San Beda Mountaineering Society as it reaches its 20th year in existence in the Bedan community. OBJECTIVES OF THE RACE: This event is in line with the organizations mission of pursuing the development of a Bedans professional and personal well-being. This event invites every Bedan to reach out from their comfort zones and go through an adventure that they have never experienced before. To engage each participant in challenging tasks that are set to boost their morale, develop sportsmanship, compassion with other competitors. CONCEPT OF THE RACE: Each team will navigate their way through various control points around the city, based on the specified places in the race course. In every control point, each team will be given tasks that they have to accomplish first before proceeding to the next control point. The team who garners the best time wins the race.
